WEDDING PLANNER
Weddings are a wonderful opportunity to gather and celebrate with friends and
family. They require a great deal of planning and preparation but with the help of
Icon Event Catering it is sure to be a success! You concentrate on looking fantastic
and leave the rest to the experts!
 
THE FIRST STEP AFTER YOUR MARRIAGE PROPOSAL

• Consider asking Icon Event Catering for recommendations for a wedding reception and/or ceremony location
• Decide on the date and time
• Find a Celebrant

 
THE SECOND STEP (no later than 12-14 weeks before the wedding)

• Choose the type of wedding you want (cocktail, buffet, formal lunch and dinner).
• Select a theme or color scheme
• Determine what you wish to have i.e. flowers, photography, wedding video, entertainment etc & then source the people you feel can best provide what you require. (speak to our event manager for a list of our list of preferred suppliers)
• Make reservations for accommodation for your wedding night & for any guests from out of town if required.
• Icon Event Catering can make reservations and organise components of your wedding if you wish us to do so. (i.e.organise photographer, accommodation and so on).
• Prepare a guest list with addresses and phone numbers.
• Icon Event Catering can arrange invitations is you wish us to do so

 
THE THIRD STEP (no later than 6-8 weeks before the wedding)

• Address and mail invitations.
• Finalize the menu and beverage package with the help of Icon Event Catering
• Arrange for extra help, such as a babysitter or house sitter for honeymoon period.
• Icon Event Catering will arrange wait staff and bar staff based on your menu and beverage package.
• Talk to Icon Event Catering about your color scheme or theme so that we canprovide you with details of suppliers who will be able to organize flowers,centerpieces and decorations to suit your wedding requirements.

 THE FOURTH STEP (no later than 1-2 weeks before the wedding)

• Icon Event Catering will confirm run sheets/timing schedule & finalise quotes.
• Confirm transport arrangements & babysitter or house sitter if required.
• Confirm any last minute appointments e.g. beautician, hairdresser etc.
• Create an attending guest list from the RSVPs you received.
• Send the guest list and seating plan to Icon Event Catering so that place cards can be set on the correct tables.
• Make final payment to your caterers and other suppliers.
